By checking this box, the visitor knowingly and freely accepts that there may be a risk of injury while walking, jogging, running, biking, hiking, birding, and other recreational activities at the North River Wetlands Preserve. The visitor assumes all such risks and full responsibility for their participation in these and other related activities. The visitor gives permission to authorize personnel to carry out first aid procedures as may be necessary and also permit such treatment procedures to be carried out at, and by the local hospitals in the event of an emergency, with the understanding that any medical expenses will be billed directly to them. The visitor releases the North Carolina Coastal Federation from any and all liabilities incident to my participation in these activities, even if arising from the negligence of federation staff or other visitors, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
